My specialty is patterns of behavior in regards with dogs and horses, and sometimes people...I donate time to rescue dogs who may have some issues or quirks and I usually donate 2 free lessons when you come to where I live with my horses and dogs in Topanga...my methods are described a little in my profile...

Re: dog behaviorist will work with rescue dogs, no charge
Thu, May 1, 2008 - 10:05 PMI wish I lived closer, but the idea of driving up to Malibu is just too damn far, Sol.
My dog got out yesterday and attacked a cat...$380 later, cat was Ok, but I was frustrated.
She's a rescued pitbull - vet thinks she was a bait / fight dog previously... Patience is a virtue. UGH> -

Mon, September 15, 2008 - 8:46 AMI too wish you were closer. Our rescued Pit is so sweet, but my husband has decided he can not control him like I can, so he said we have to give himaway. This is killing me. -

Re: dog behaviorist will work with rescue dogs, no charge
Mon, September 15, 2008 - 11:25 AMYou know, there may be a Pit rescue nearer to you that can offer assistance, or has connections to trainers like Sol. Have you tried looking for them? I'd go to www.petfinder.com and look for Pit rescues in my area, or www.petharbor.com and look for shelters and ask if they had the names of Pit rescues.
Good luck to both of you. The Pit my brother bought from a relative who used to fight them was one of the best dogs we ever had.
