If you look at my pictures, you will see before and after pictures of Sadona and her son, Maple. They were turned in from a *&%$&$# back yard breeder. They had lyme disease, Sadona is blind, Maple may have a shorter life due to a severe heart valve murmer. Maple can see, but has eye meds. Sadona was adopted by a wonderful couple, and I just love them for taking in a blind dog. She is very smart and gets around well. They had another special needs Cocker Spaniel. Maple will stay with us, due to ihis heart condition. I just want to honor every rescuer out there. You are doing a wonderful thing, helping these deserving animals.

Re: Neglect is cruelty
Fri, February 6, 2009 - 8:05 AMI agree and especially right now whilst the economy is so tough...
People are often so quick to judge (rescues / rescuers / shelters ) yet often that ''hell'' is a lot better than the hell they just came from.
I have rescued two pitbulls in the last year, I have 3 now * 300 lbs of dogs ! This is my limit for now. I love them all dearly and I will continue to volunteer and try to raise funds for the shelters that do have many dogs...such as Villalobos Pitbull Rescue in Agua Dulce and Linda Blair's Rescue in Agua Dulce (north of Los Angeles)...
